The inaugural line from
bnf studio.
mt. curve is designed with the intention of breaking free from traditional furniture-making constraints.
Each piece stands as a collection of simple shapes. Sculpted curves challenge the linear norms of fine hardwood furniture while maintaining a deep respect for the craft. The unique finishing process allows for control of color without losing the grain’s natural tactile quality.
Our hope is that this furniture line invites a sense of intrigue and enthusiasm. Each piece is made-to-order, customizable, and handcrafted in our studio.

mt. curve chair’s hardwood frame is accentuated by its sculpted curved back that settles into extended turned legs.

mt. curve table’s most imposing features are its large, podium-like, turned hardwood legs. Innovative sanding techniques reveal an exceptionally pronounced, more tactile grain across the table top.

big chair
mt. curve big chair is designed to exude grandiosity. Its oversized, turned hardwood legs extend from the floor up beyond the hand-shaped curved back. With an expansive plush seat, big chair can be enjoyed by one or two.

mt. curve stool’s elongated, turned hardwood legs enhance verticality without compromising its curvilinear aesthetic. Built to any desired height.

bnf studio
Founded by Ben Newman and Mary Numair, bnf studio is a design-centric, hardwood furniture company. The studio is an evolution of Ben Newman Furniture, their well-established bespoke furniture business. With over 20 years of experience in fine woodworking, Newman is a master furniture maker, while Numair brings her vision as a creative director.
The focus of bnf studio is to create highly expressive furniture through the use of diverse shapes, textures, and colors.
